There is one BBQ held each term, free for all AUES members.

There are free snags, salads, soft drinks, beer and punch! If you’re not already a member, signing up
on the day for $5 will allow you to join in with the all-you-can-eat all-you-can-drink BBQ, and also gets you the remaining BBQs for that year free.


An event that was not seen at the University for many a year prior to 2005, revived thanks to the vision of Julian O’Shea. The traditional tug-of-war is given a unique AUES twist wi
th the contest taking place on opposite banks of the River Torrens. For the uninitiated, the river is most notably known for its algal blooms, horrid smell and general polluted state.
It’s become tradition for the Meds to face off with the Engies, fueled by their history old bitter feud. In 2011, President Henry Harch thought it would be a good idea to get the defence forces involved as well, as separate competitors. It wasn’t. They destroyed us.
